Clive Standen
osteopath. educator. mentor.
Clive qualified as an osteopath in 1978 and completed his Masters degree in Philosophy & Healthcare in 1992.
Since then he has run osteopathic clinics in England and New Zealand, and osteopathic education programmes in London and at Unitec in Auckland.
Clive has wide experience of healthcare education: he has spent many years teaching and lecturing in osteopathy and related topics all around the world. He has also been involved in the creation, development, approval and accreditation of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in osteopathy and other professions. He has contributed to the development of osteopathic education systems, curriculum development, regulation policy in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and North and South America.
He has extensive experience of all aspects of the regulatory and accreditation environment.
In his role as Chair of the Osteopathic International Alliance (OIA) he worked closely with senior officials at the World Health Organization in Geneva, and was responsible for the creation and publication of the OIA’s Status Report on Osteopathy in 2010.
Since 2013 he has successfully applied his experience in the areas of Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy.
Clive has a particular interest in the treatment of people at both ends of the age spectrum: infants and children, and older patients who may still be working or are now retired.
Anne Standen
Anne qualified as a registered nurse in 1975 and later completed an undergraduate nursing degree. She has worked extensively in women's health in the UK and New Zealand. She has wide experience of Family Planning and Women's Reproductive Health.
She is also a Registered Celebrant, creating and conducting marriages, funerals and other ceremonies.
